Yellowstone to Bozeman, MT

We spent a real nice time in Cody ending with a several hour time at "The Wild Bill Cody Museum". Its a must see place if you enjoy guns, Indians and western history. Dick's Iphone works sometimes but my Blackberry is useless with Sprint service. We stopped at Walmart and I got a Version pay as you go phone and it works great. Paula has the number for anyone who wants to leave me a message.
From Cody we headed for Yellowstone with Dick making the accommodation we accidentally made them in The Grand Tetons Park. Even though it was not in our plans it could not have worked out better. We had a cabin that had full view of the majestic mountains and it was inspiring. We spent a real pleasant nite. No accommodations were available in Yellowstone except camp sites and they would be booked by 11 am so we got ourselves one for our next nite in the southern end of the park. We set up camp and spent the day in the park. Dick slept in the van and I slept in the tent. We made ourselves a good breakfast, cleaned up and broke camp for another day in park. We both are rusty at camping and we started the day tired. Part of the problem I think was the wine that we drank by the fire we were so proud of. The weather has been a blessing with sunny days, mild temperatures and little wind. Yellowstone had large areas where recent and older forest fires had taken place. From our drive you see the time line of forest regeneration and it made the harsh view of forest fires much more tolerable. Regrowth was amazing for burned areas 4 to 10 years later.
We finished Yellowstone and drove to Bozeman. Dick is going back to work and he takes a plane out Sunday. Farewell to Dick. will wander to Seattle to Pick up Larry on the 27th.
