On our way from Terrace Sept 2

Tuesday Sept 2 nd morning Tom & Larry headed out from Terrace BC, before sunrise.
The moose was faster than our shutter could capture. Of course if our camera aim was better....
We have added a moose to our animal sightings. A large female just clunking in the road and off to the side as we approached with the car. We tried to get the camera, pull over and take pictures but as you will see the moose was impatient and almost eluded our efforts.
As we added miles and miles of mountain, valleys, rivers and trees, without much population and we have not even reached the territories we became aware of the vast expanse of this land. It seems endless and goes on forever.
Our next fuel stop was Smithers, BC and the van acted up again but this time with a shifter issue. The service manager at the Jeep dealer personally adjusted the shifter to get us going temporary. We lumbered it into Terrace BC where a VW guy order a $10 plastic bushing part but would not arrive for another day. We are here for the next two nights and will rent a car and proceed to Prince Rupert for tomorrow. Fishing is world class here and we will make the best of things until the van is going again. People here are pretty friendly, helpful and genuine. Our first stop was the VW mechanic. Sharp & helpful owner with great experience and willingness to address our issues.
